Architect/Senior Architectural Technologist/Architectural Technician
On site, Full time, based in Nayland. CO6 4LT.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Architect, Architectural Technologist or Technician looking to take ownership of projects within a supportive and flexible practice.
The Company
We are a small, friendly and progressive architectural design practice, established in 2007 and based in Nayland, in the beautiful Stour Valley.

We have a proven track record of successfully delivering a diverse range of interesting projects across north Essex and south Suffolk.
Our work
Our work is predominantly residential property, covering new builds, small developments, extensions, conversions and listed buildings. We also take on the occasional diverse or complex planning application, which brings interest and variety to the practice
We lead the design phase for our clients, work with a wide range of supporting consultants, and if required can also continue our involvement throughout the construction phase.

Opportunities
Once established within the company, the successful candidate may have the opportunity to progress to include a management/financial role within the company.
The Candidate
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual with strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and a desire to grow with the company.
Responsibilities
- Develop client relationships, produce client proposals and convert enquiries into commissions.
- Manage client relationships throughout projects.
- Lead projects through the survey, design, planning and Building Regulations stages, providing design support during construction.
- Coordinate with colleagues, consultants and contractors to deliver projects efficiently.
- Prepare technical drawings and supporting documentation for Planning and Building Regulations applications.
- Support and mentor junior members of the team.
Requirements

- Experience of successfully submitting Planning and Building Regulation applications.
- Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD).
- Experience with MS 365 applications.
- RIBA/CIAT Chartered (MCIAT), Associate (ACIAT) or due to be RIBA/CIAT Chartered within the next 12 months.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Daily access to a car that can be used to visit potential clients and carry out surveys.
Benefits
- Salary offered: £35,000 to £48,000 depending on skills and experience.
- Generous profit based annual bonus scheme.

- Flexible working hours, following successful completion of the probation period.
- Hours: 37.5 per week.
- Holiday: 31 days including Bank holidays.
