MADE Careers is working with a leading London architecture and design practice looking to appoint an Architect to join its growing team.
This is a great opportunity for a confident, design led Architect who wants to take real ownership of projects, working from early concept and design development through to technical delivery and completion.
You’ll work across a varied portfolio of high quality UK and European projects, collaborating closely with architects, interior designers and external consultants within an established and highly regarded studio.
The Role
You’ll be involved across all RIBA stages, contributing creatively at the outset of projects while also taking responsibility for their coordination and delivery.
Depending on your experience, you’ll have the opportunity to run one or more projects, manage project teams and consultants, and take responsibility for programme, quality and commercial performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop design concepts and ideas from project inception
- Produce high quality drawings, presentations, reports and design information
- Take projects through design development, technical delivery and completion
- Coordinate with consultants and wider design teams
- Prepare detailed drawing packages, specifications and models
- Manage project programmes and deliverables
- Support and lead architects and architectural assistants within project teams
- Maintain a strong understanding of UK planning, Building Regulations and relevant statutory requirements
- Work directly with clients and consultants throughout the project
- Support the successful commercial and financial delivery of projects
- Run one or more projects depending on scale and experience

Requirements
- ARB registered Architect
- Strong experience within a UK architecture practice
- Good design and technical ability
- Experience working across multiple RIBA stages
- Confidence taking ownership of projects and coordinating design teams
- Strong knowledge of UK planning and Building Regulations
- Experience producing detailed design and construction information
- Confident working with external consultants and clients
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Strong organisation and project management skills
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of project programmes and budgets
- Collaborative approach with the confidence to support and lead others

Why This Role
This would suit an Architect who enjoys the full process of architecture rather than being limited to one project stage. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute creatively, develop client and consultant relationships and take increasing responsibility for running projects from inception through to completion.
