Konker is recruiting for a Part 1 Architectural Assistant to join a lively architectural practice based in York's City Centre!
This RIBA Chartered Architectural practice is continuously growing and now requires an additional Part 1 Architectural Assistant to support the team.
Please note, this practice is looking to interview in the next couple of weeks and ideally for someone to start in mid-late October or November.
They have now grown to 20 staff and are based in their brand-new office that overlooks some historic landmarks in York.
At the heart of the business are two partners who have a wealth of experience in the commercial, residential, and care sectors. Both partners have won prestigious architectural awards in their careers.

For this Part 1 position, you will be supported and mentored by working alongside a senior member of the team. You will be working on later-living and retirement living projects, which the practice specialises in.
The Position: Part 1 Architectural Assistant
- Produce tender and construction package drawings
- Assist within the busy practice
- Produce and assist with planning applications
- Produce information for site meetings and different RIBA stages
- Work closely with Senior Architects
- Gain Principal Designer experience from the Director
- Attend site meetings with senior staff
- Used AutoCAD and Revit daily

12 month role - ideal if you are planning on starting your Masters next year!
To be considered you need to be based in York/Harrogate/Leeds or have a genuine reason for relocating to the area.
The salary for this Part 1 Architectural Assistant position ranges from £25,000 to £27,000 depending on previous experience.
