Architectural Assistant and Architects, London
Department: Architectural Assistant and Architects
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: London
Description
Supported by the Studio and guided by project directors, each project team takes ownership of their project. We believe that clear leadership, teamwork, responsibility and sound decision-making are fundamental to a positive project culture and allow each team member to do their best work.
Currently, we are looking for Architectural Assistants and Architects, in both supporting and leading roles, who are particularly skilled and experienced in the early design stages of competitive pitches and direct commissions — where establishing a strong idea and position early allow the whole process to run more smoothly.
Role
Within the collaborative setting of the project team, successful candidates will synthesise brief requirements, priorities and contextual issues — building not towards conclusions, but an emerging sense of what the project can be. The work is varied, so you should be flexible, adaptable, and eager to take on diverse challenges.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
