Architectural Assistant – Part 1 / Part 2

Location: East Oxfordshire

Salary: £20,000 – £30,000 per annum, depending on experience

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Working Pattern: Office-based

Start Date: Immediate


Join a Growing Architecture Studio

We are working with a small but well-established architecture studio in East Oxfordshire that is looking to add an Architectural Assistant to its collaborative team.

The practice is working across a varied portfolio of exciting projects and is particularly busy with hotel schemes at present. This is an excellent opportunity for a Part 1 or Part 2 Architectural Assistant who is keen to gain broad project experience, develop their technical skills and play an important role within a growing practice.

With an immediate start available, the successful candidate will join a supportive environment where there is plenty of opportunity to learn from experienced project leads and become involved across the full project lifecycle.

The Role

Working alongside the project leads, you will contribute across the RIBA work stages and help ensure projects are delivered to a high standard and within agreed timescales.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Supporting project leads across the RIBA work stages
  • Assisting with the design and development of projects
  • Producing and developing architectural drawings
  • Supporting ongoing project documentation and drawing production
  • Working across a varied portfolio, including current hotel schemes
  • Helping to ensure quality work is produced in a timely manner
  • Collaborating with the wider team throughout the project lifecycle
  • Developing your technical and professional knowledge through hands-on project experience

About You

We're looking for an enthusiastic Architectural Assistant who is keen to learn and develop within a collaborative studio environment.

You Will Ideally Have

  • Part 1 or Part 2 architectural education
  • Experience or confidence using AutoCAD, SketchUp and Enscape
  • A good understanding of architectural design and drawing production
  • An organised and proactive approach to your work
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • A willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
  • The ability to work from the office in East Oxfordshire
  • A full UK driving licence, due to the location of the studio
