A construction company is currently recruiting an Architectural Assistant (Part 2, Revit Specialist) to work in their London office and project sites across the UK.

In this role, you will be involved in office and showroom refurbishment projects. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to projects through the technical design and construction stages, producing detailed construction drawings, BIM/Revit models, and technical documentation while coordinating with consultants, contractors, and site teams.

The ideal candidate should hold RIBA Part 2 qualification, have at least 2 years of experience in an architectural practice, strong knowledge of UK building regulations, and proficiency in Revit software.

Architectural Assistant Main Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, developing, and editing drawings, models, images, and other design-related documents
  • Producing and maintaining project drawings using Revit under the guidance of the Design Manager
  • Supporting the site team and monitoring project progress
  • Collaborating with specialists, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Coordinating with structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers
  • Preparing design presentations and construction documentation, including detailing and schedules
  • Corresponding with subcontractors and reviewing shop drawings and technical submissions
  • Producing technical and construction-stage drawing packages using Revit
  • Preparing detailed construction drawings, technical details, and specifications
  • Supporting projects through RIBA Stage 5 and construction delivery
  • Reviewing shop drawings and contractor technical submissions
  • Coordinating technical information with consultants, contractors, and site teams
  • Assisting with resolving technical issues during construction

Architectural Assistant Ideal Candidate:

  • RIBA Part 2 qualification (or equivalent UK-recognized architectural qualification)
  • At least 2 years of experience in an architectural practice
  • Proven experience delivering projects through RIBA Stage 5 (Technical Design), including construction-stage involvement
  • Strong experience producing technical drawings, construction documentation, detailing, and drawing packages for live projects
  • Hands-on experience using Revit for BIM modelling and construction-stage drawing production
  • Experience in office refurbishment, showroom renovation, or commercial fit-out projects
  • Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and technical compliance requirements
  • Experience coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary design teams during project delivery
  • Experience reviewing shop drawings, technical submissions, and construction information
  • Familiarity with BIM processes and Revit software
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Understanding of sustainable design principles would be advantageous
  • Business level fluency in English
