Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Architectural Design Coordinator to support the delivery of architectural projects from initial concepts through to detailed design and project documentation.
The successful candidate will work closely with architects, designers, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders to coordinate drawings, design information, specifications, and project documentation. This role is well suited to candidates with experience in architectural practices, design coordination, BIM, or construction-related environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support architects and project teams throughout the design and documentation process.
- Prepare, develop, and coordinate architectural drawings and design information.
- Assist with concept development, planning documentation, and detailed design packages.
- Coordinate architectural information with structural, MEP, and other specialist disciplines.
- Review drawings and documentation for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Maintain organised project files, drawing registers, and document-control records.
- Assist with the preparation of planning, tender, and construction documentation.
- Coordinate revisions and ensure project information is updated accurately.
- Liaise with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
- Attend project meetings and assist with recording actions and design decisions.
- Support BIM coordination and model-based project workflows.
- Assist with site-related design queries and technical information when required.
- Help ensure projects are delivered in accordance with relevant standards, regulations, and client requirements.

Requirements
- Degree, diploma, or relevant qualification in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related discipline.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in architectural design or project coordination.
- Experience working within an architectural practice, construction company, or design consultancy.
- Good understanding of architectural drawings and construction documentation.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Familiarity with BIM workflows is desirable.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Understanding of UK planning and building requirements is desirable.
