Architectural / Computational Designer / Architect - Complex Architecture, AI & Digital Design

Central London | £40,000-£50,000, with flexibility for exceptional experience

What could you design if you could explore more ideas, master greater complexity and take your digital skills further?

A sweeping roof over a vast gathering space…

A façade whose geometry evolves across an entire building…

An ambitious sketch transformed into a system you can explore, refine and develop…

If you enjoy finding the logic behind extraordinary architecture, we would like to speak with you.

GRØ Careers is working with an internationally recognised architecture studio to find someone with a passion for design, computation and emerging technology for its growing London team.

Your title might be Architectural Designer, Computational Designer, Architect… or something else entirely.

We’re interested in your skills, your thinking and what you want to do next.

Think large-scale projects, major venues, intricate building envelopes and design challenges that draw you in.

With a global specialist computational team and an appetite for exploring AI in architectural workflows, there’s plenty to get excited about here.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

A glimpse into the work…

You’re exploring a form in Rhino.

Your Grasshopper workflow lets you adjust its behaviour, compare possibilities and take an idea further.

A conversation with the project team sparks another direction.

You refine the logic, test an alternative and uncover something worth pursuing.

Later, you explore how AI-assisted coding could help solve a scripting problem or improve a workflow.

The questions evolve from project to project.

Your design judgement and curiosity help move them forward.

Bring your curiosity about AI.

Perhaps you are using AI to write or troubleshoot code, experimenting with generative tools or finding ways to make your design process more fluid.

We would love to hear how you are exploring these possibilities… and where you think they could take architecture next.

You don’t need every answer.

Curiosity, initiative and the ability to turn an experiment into something useful all have a place here.

You might be ready for this if…

  • You enjoy Rhino and Grasshopper and want to apply those skills to ambitious architecture.
  • You’re fascinated by complex geometry and the design intent behind it.
  • You’ve contributed to larger projects, developed a thoughtful computational approach or produced work that makes people pause and ask... “How did you do that?”
  • And you want a team where you can exchange ideas, deepen your expertise and see your contribution become part of something bigger.
