What is the role?
We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and confident Architectural Technician to join our successful team. As an Architectural Technician you will be an integral part of the Technical department, producing working drawings using both portfolio and bespoke unit types.
What You’ll Do As An Architectural Technician
- To produce technical information on CAD and to communicate this information to the Construction departments to maintain the build programme and ensure compliance with Building Control
- Responsible for the timely production of both presentation and construction information to ensure design concepts are communicated and implemented accurately
- To develop a comprehensive knowledge of the current Building Regulations, NHBC Standards and ensure compliance for the build process ensuring we meet our regulatory standards
- Establish good working relationships with Site staff and Department Heads to ensure schemes are constructed as intended and to encourage feedback for future schemes
- To produce working drawing information that ensures schemes are designed to Persimmon standards to suit building, marketing and economic considerations and maintain a level of unit consistency and efficiency
- To agree and work to design programme delivery dates and meet these targets to ensure the build remains on programme
- Assisting in the production of information relating to the set up of production of planning layouts with eventual progression and integration into BIM based systems

What experience do I need?
- A technical qualification or you are qualified through experience and have sufficient working drawings experience along with building regulations knowledge
- Experience of working on residential housing schemes is desirable
- AutoCAD technical skills are essential
