Role Description
The Architectural Technician role is a full-time, hybrid position based in Sheffield, with flexibility for some work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Preparing and developing detailed technical drawings, construction documentation, and specifications in coordination with architects and interior designers.
- Using CAD and other digital tools to support project delivery across various stages, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Collaborating with project teams, attending coordination meetings, assisting with design development, and contributing to accurate information flow between consultants, contractors, and clients.
- Maintaining organized project files, supporting quality assurance processes, and meeting agreed deadlines and project milestones.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Architectural Technology and a solid understanding of Architecture principles.
- Strong skills in Technical Drawing and Construction Drawings for detailed project documentation.
- Strong skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) for efficient drawing production.
- Relevant qualification in architectural technology, architecture, or a related field (e.g., HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent experience).
- Knowledge of UK building regulations, standards, and construction methods.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams and communicate clearly with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
- Experience in a professional architectural practice and familiarity with RIBA work stages is beneficial.
