The Role
We are looking for a talented Architectural Technologist to join our established and forward-thinking Architectural team in London, Nottingham, or Bristol. You’ll become part of a growing national division, supporting a range of design and sustainability projects, including our work with the Ministry of Justice on the Future Prisons Programme — a sole supplier framework expected to continue over several years.
Our Architectural team works across an array of sectors, including blue light, commercial, custodial, education, healthcare, industrial, leisure, and residential. If you have experience delivering within any of these areas, we encourage you to apply.
We ensure our Architectural Technologists are involved in all aspects of a project and embedded within a collaborative architectural team. You will work across all RIBA stages on a varied programme of work within the custodial sector, giving you broad exposure and the opportunity to contribute from early design through to technical delivery. You will be given individual pieces of work to undertake with supervision, work alongside talented mentors, and be encouraged and supported to develop and express your design and technical skills.

Your Core Responsibilities Will Include:
- Producing innovative and technically robust design solutions, helping to transform concepts into high-quality architectural outcomes.
- Supporting Project Architects and Directors in the preparation of drawings, technical details, specifications, and design coordination activities.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to the highest standards of quality.
- Taking a proactive approach to personal development by learning from colleagues, seeking feedback, and expanding your technical knowledge.
- Contributing positively to the wider team, building strong working relationships and providing support wherever needed.
- Working closely with your mentor to support your professional growth and career development.
- Participating in design reviews, architectural forums, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and company-wide events.
- Championing and upholding the company’s values, vision, and departmental objectives in all aspects of your work.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant Health & Safety policies, procedures, and best practice requirements.

Our Ideal Architectural Technologist Will Bring:
- A degree in Architectural Technology (BSc Hons) or full MCIAT membership.
- Proven post-qualification experience, ideally gained across a variety of sectors and project stages.
- A creative and innovative approach, with an understanding of sustainable design principles and their practical application.
- Strong technical detailing skills, alongside a sound knowledge of specifications, building materials, and the use of NBS.
- A good understanding of contract administration, current building regulations, technical standards, and industry best practice.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Revit and strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and confidently through written, visual, and verbal mediums.
- A proactive, self-motivated, and collaborative approach, combined with a friendly, positive, and enthusiastic attitude.
