Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Architectural Technologist role based in Wickford. The Architectural Technologist will support projects from concept through to construction, producing accurate technical drawings and detailed working drawings in line with project and regulatory requirements.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Developing and coordinating architectural drawings
- Preparing construction documentation
- Assisting with design development and technical problem-solving

The role involves collaborating closely with architects, partners, consultants, and contractors to ensure design intent is maintained and projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. The Architectural Technologist will also contribute to quality control, compliance with building regulations, and the continuous improvement of studio processes and standards.

Qualifications
- Strong competency in Architectural Technology, with the ability to translate design concepts into buildable, compliant solutions.
- Proficiency in Technical Drawing and Working Drawings to support accurate, detailed documentation for all project stages.
- Experience producing and coordinating Architectural Drawings and Construction Drawings for residential and/or commercial projects.
- Familiarity with relevant building regulations, construction methods, and materials, and an understanding of UK planning and compliance processes.
- Proficiency in ArchiCAD and strong digital documentation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a studio environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with partners, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology or a related discipline; professional accreditation or progress toward it is an advantage.
