I’m working with an established, design-led practice in Aberdeen that is looking to appoint an experienced Architectural Technician or Architectural Technologist to join its collaborative team.
This is a genuinely interesting opportunity for someone with at least five years of post-qualification experience who enjoys taking ownership of projects, solving technical challenges and seeing good design translated into well-delivered spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work across a varied portfolio of commercial, workplace, and refurbishment projects, supporting schemes from the early design stages through technical development, approvals, and construction.
- Produce accurate drawing packages, coordinate information with consultants and contractors, and ensure projects meet the relevant technical standards, regulations, and client requirements.

Key Requirements:
- Recognised qualification in Architectural Technology or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of five years’ relevant post-qualification experience.
- Strong technical detailing and construction knowledge.
- Solid understanding of UK Building Regulations and the Scottish planning and warrant process.
- Experience producing coordinated technical information using industry-standard design software.

Person Specification:
- Organised, dependable, and straightforward to work with.
- Ability to balance technical accuracy with commercial awareness.
- Clear communication skills with clients and project partners.
- Calm under pressure when programmes get busy.
- Experience within commercial interiors, office fit-out, refurbishment, or workplace projects would be particularly useful.
