Architectural Technologist Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an Architectural Technologist to join our growing Architecture team in Sale/Manchester.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, with proven experience in the production, coordination, and delivery of construction information across a diverse range of project sectors and procurement routes. Experience working on both new-build and existing High-Risk Building (HRB) projects is highly desirable.

Candidates should demonstrate an excellent understanding of construction technology, UK Building Regulations, and the technical delivery of architectural projects. They will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working effectively within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment to deliver high-quality design solutions.

About Baily Garner

With 50 years of experience, Baily Garner LLP is a leading multidisciplinary construction consultancy with over 300 employees and offices in Eltham, Manchester, and Birmingham—delivering national coverage. We provide a full suite of services including Architecture, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, M&E Engineering, Sustainability Consulting, and more.

Our purpose is to positively impact people's lives. We achieve this by delivering exceptional service and creating opportunities that make a real difference—for our clients, end users, our people, and the planet.

Following Baily Garner's recent acquisition of Arcus, the business now operates from two Manchester offices: one in Manchester City Centre and one in Sale. The Architecture team is currently based in Sale; however, plans are in place to bring the teams together, with the expectation that the Architecture team will ultimately be based in Manchester City Centre. This presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing and evolving team during a period of positive change.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
