About The Role

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Architect or Architectural Technologist to join a well-established, award-winning architectural practice in Exeter.

With a strong reputation across the South West, the practice works across an impressive range of sectors including healthcare, education, defence, residential, commercial, leisure, and sports, delivering projects from initial concept right through to completion. They have a growing workload across both of their South West studios and a number of significant projects moving through the technical and construction stages.

They are now looking for someone experienced, technically strong, and confident delivering projects through all RIBA stages. This could suit either a Senior Architect with a strong technical bias or an experienced Architectural Technologist who is comfortable taking responsibility for projects, coordinating technical information, and working closely with consultants and contractors.

You’ll be joining a friendly and collaborative team, working on a varied portfolio of projects with plenty of opportunity to take ownership and see schemes through from detailed design to completion.

The Role Will Include

  • Taking projects through the technical and delivery stages
  • Producing and coordinating detailed technical drawing packages
  • Leading and managing the technical design process
  • Coordinating with consultants, contractors, and clients
  • Attending site and project meetings
  • Resolving technical and construction queries
  • Carrying out site inspections and measured surveys where required
  • Ensuring projects comply with UK Building Regulations and relevant standards
  • Taking responsibility for your own projects and workload
  • Supporting the wider project team to ensure successful delivery

Requirements

  • An experienced Architect or Architectural Technologist with 5 years PQE
  • Strong technical and construction knowledge
  • Excellent experience across all RIBA stages
  • Proven experience producing and coordinating technical packages
  • Confidence running projects and taking responsibility for delivery
  • Good consultant, contractor, and client coordination experience
  • Experience across a variety of project sectors would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Revit proficiency is essential
