Alderley Edge, Cheshire · Hybrid · Full-time, permanent · Competitive Salary

About us

We're a RIBA chartered architecture practice in Alderley Edge, designing homes that are sustainable, accessible and built around the people who live in them. We guide clients from the first meeting to the day they move in.

Our work falls into two areas. We design bespoke, low-energy homes, barn conversions and sensitive renovations, led by Certified Passive House Designers. We also design accessible homes for people with life-altering injuries, providing accommodation expert reports, specialist property searches and inclusive design for solicitors, deputies and case managers across the UK.

We're a small, close-knit studio that values clear reasoning, honest advice and a defensible audit trail behind every decision.

The role

We're looking for an Architectural Technologist to turn our designs into homes that perform as well as they look.

You'll lead the technical side of our projects, from developed design through to completion on site. That means detailing for Passive House and low-energy performance, and for accessible homes that have to work around wheelchairs, hoists, lifts and daily care routines.

Projects are mainly one-off homes, conversions, extensions and adaptations, often on rural or green belt sites. You'll work from our studio with flexibility to work from home, with regular site visits across the North West and North Wales.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
