Area Business Manager – Roofing & Waterproofing

Location: South West London
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

The Opportunity:

My client, a leading manufacturer within the roofing and waterproofing industry, is looking to recruit an ambitious Area Business Manager to join their field sales team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional with experience in roofing, waterproofing or construction products to take ownership of an established territory, developing relationships with contractors, distributors, specifiers and key stakeholders while driving sales growth across a market-leading product portfolio. You'll be responsible for increasing revenue, margin and market share by promoting a range of high-quality roofing and waterproofing solutions, whilst identifying new business opportunities and supporting customers with both commercial and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a territory business plan to achieve sales, margin and volume targets.
  • Grow existing customer relationships while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Promote a range of roofing and waterproofing systems to contractors, distributors and specification customers.
  • Deliver engaging product demonstrations and technical presentations.
  • Monitor sales performance and provide regular updates and forecasts to the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to identify commercial opportunities.
  • Work closely with technical support teams to ensure exceptional customer service and project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain an approved contractor network across the region.
  • Manage contractor accounts and support long-term customer partnerships.
  • Plan customer visits and travel efficiently to maximise productivity.
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, industry regulations and Health & Safety standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
