Role Description

The Area Cleaning Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Northamptonshire, responsible for overseeing cleaning operations across multiple client sites. This position involves managing cleaning teams, scheduling staff, and ensuring that all contract requirements and service standards are met. The Area Cleaning Manager will monitor quality of work, coordinate equipment and supply needs, and address any operational issues promptly. The role includes regular communication with clients, conducting site visits, and reporting on performance, compliance, and improvements. The manager will also support staff training, health and safety adherence, and continuous service enhancement in line with Brightr’s values.

  • Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, staff scheduling, and performance management.
  • Knowledge of facility management (FM) and facilities operations to oversee multiple sites effectively.
  • Experience with equipment maintenance and safe use of cleaning machinery and materials.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, team members, and contractors.
  • Proven experience in commercial or contract cleaning management, preferably across multiple locations.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in cleaning and facilities services.
  • Ability to travel within Northamptonshire and work flexibly to meet operational needs.
  • Relevant qualification or training in facilities management, cleaning supervision, or a related field is advantageous.
