Department

Drainage/Depot Network consists of a strategically located depot network across the UK, spanning from Aberdeen to Plymouth. Enabling rapid response to customer requirements and providing round-the-clock coverage, 365 days a year. This extensive footprint allows Lanes to combine local responsiveness with national capability, ensuring consistent service standards while maintaining close relationships with regional customers and infrastructure partners.

Purpose of the Role

To service the requirements of the existing customer base, develop and sustain new business clients and promote the sale of all of the company’s services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Regional Managers and the depot in achieving budget sales line.
  • Assist in the management of the sales where required.
  • Input information in CRM database.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Produce and maintain quotation files and update frequently.
  • Produce and maintain individual client records.
  • Attend conference / seminars / exhibitions were required to promote sales.
  • Produce projected sales figures and reports with detail.
  • Complete accurately any sales orders for division’s Operations department.
  • Provide quotations for clients when requested.
  • Interface with clients to assist in providing best possible solutions for resolving problems.
  • Assist in debt collection as required.
  • Organise structured sales development within designated area.
  • Provide detailed information to Marketing Department relative to any potential key accounts.
  • Carry out customer care duties.
  • Source new business to promote the growth of the company.
  • Ensure minimum profit requirements (EBITDA) are achieved on sales orders.
  • Secure and complete tender documents. Work alongside the bid team to provide information as required.
  • Plan and attend site visits in the most time effective way and relay information back to the operational team.
  • Produce and assist with RAMS for sites that have been attended.

Skills & Experience

  • Business to Business Sales experience essential.
  • Service industry sales experience - ideally with drainage/waste management or construction related industry or multi utility essential.
