RECA-UK Ltd is part of the European RECA Group, a subsidiary of a global organization with multi-billion euro sales, offering strong financial stability and growth potential. With a nationwide sales force of around 80 professionals, the company provides technical advice on more than 5,500 high-quality consumable product lines to over 7,000 active customers across the UK. RECA-UK operates from a modern 36,000 sq. ft. distribution facility near junction 1 of the M5 in West Bromwich, ensuring next-day delivery as standard and credit facilities for trade customers. Every RECA product is designed to deliver innovation and performance beyond industry standards. Guided by the motto “RECA | CONNECTS. PERFORMS. INSPIRES.” the company focuses on quality, partnership, and actively shaped customer relationships.

Role Description

The Area Development Manager is a full-time remote role responsible for growing and managing sales within a defined territory. Day-to-day activities include identifying and developing new business opportunities, maintaining and expanding relationships with existing trade customers, and promoting RECA’s range of consumable products. The role involves providing technical product advice, conducting regular customer visits (field-based travel as required), and delivering tailored solutions that align with customer needs. The Area Development Manager will prepare quotes, manage pricing and credit terms in line with company policies, and monitor sales performance against targets. Collaboration with internal teams, including customer service and logistics, is essential to ensure efficient order processing and next-day delivery, while upholding RECA’s standards of service and partnership.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
