We are looking for an Area Facilities Maintenance Manager to support with the smooth running of 4 recently refurbished multifaceted Sports, Leisure and Fitness centres in Mid Sussex.

Key Responsibilities:
- Take the lead on asset management including; planned and reactive maintenance, lifecycle planning, building management systems (BMS), HVAC systems, electro-mechanical plant and pool plant operations.
- Recruit, coach, and support a small team of technical maintenance managers and maintenance operatives.
- Support with routine and reactive works to minimize disruption to the business.
- Ensure statutory and contract compliance across the facilities incorporating environmental, health, and safety policies.
- Ongoing management of contractors and subcontractors, working with multiple stakeholders to resolve building services issues.
- Monitor effective energy management and using data analysis to reduce consumption and carbon without compromising customer experience.
- Typically working Monday to Friday but available outside of these hours in the event of an emergency.
The Ideal Person:
- Facilities/building services/technical/engineering/maintenance management experience in high-volume customer service-orientated facilities like health and fitness, leisure, healthcare, hotels, or hospitality.
- Experienced in managing HVAC systems with a hands-on trade, building services, or technical qualifications.
- Has a hands-on approach to leadership, who will actively support and advise the maintenance teams and help with remedial work when required.
- Experienced in managing PPM and BMS systems I.T. software, and utilizing this for monitoring and reporting.
- Experienced in managing sub/contractors and expenditure budgets.
- Pool Plant operator/ swimming pool/spa experience is highly desirable, but training could be provided if otherwise very capable.
- Lives in the Mid Sussex area, has a UK driving licence, own vehicle, and willing to travel between the centres.
