Area General Manager
We are currently hiring for an Area General Manager to lead a portfolio of contracts for an HVAC-led services business in Central London.
The role:
- Provide strategic leadership of a defined portfolio of contracts, ensuring contractual commitments are met and exceeded
- Ensure additional services and projects are added, and contracts are re-won on re-tender
- Ensure business policies and processes are communicated and implemented within contracts
- Ensure contracts provide healthy and safe working conditions
- Ensure contracts are staffed by fully competent teams, taking direct responsibility for the appointment of Engineers and putting succession planning in place
- Work with Senior Management on the collaborative development of the business and support to colleagues
- Deliver the plan commitments for the portfolio, including revenue and profit delivery, reduction of WIP and debt, cost reduction and contract growth
- Ensure appropriate contract review, audit and control systems so statutory, policy and contractual commitments are met
- Maintain a strong customer focus and effective relationships with key client contacts
- Line manage Contract Managers and Supervisors, reporting to the Director

Requirements:

- Contract Manager level experience within an HVAC-led business
- Recruitment and line management or supervisory experience
- Technical experience in commercial air conditioning and chillers/applications
- Up to date knowledge of ACOPs, F-Gas, fire and environmental control measures, building control requirements and the Health and Safety at Work Act
- Educated to degree or HND level (strongly preferred)
Desirable:
- Delivery of wider facilities management services
- Experience of team development and review, appraisal and effective people management practice
