Role Description

The Area Lens Consultant is a full-time remote role responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with optical practices within an assigned territory. Day-to-day activities include:

  • Presenting Shamir lens solutions
  • Providing product education and technical guidance to eye care professionals

The role involves:

  • Identifying sales opportunities
  • Managing account growth
  • Implementing promotional activities aligned with company strategies

The Area Lens Consultant also collaborates with internal teams, prepares reports and forecasts, and represents Shamir UK at industry events and trainings as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong sales and account management skills, including territory planning, relationship building, and consultative selling.
  • Knowledge of optical products and lens technologies, with the ability to explain technical features and benefits clearly.
  • Communication and presentation skills to deliver product training and demonstrations to diverse professional audiences.
  • Organizational and time-management skills for managing multiple accounts, reporting activities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Comfort with remote work tools and digital platforms for virtual meetings, customer follow-up, and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently, travel within the assigned area when required, and adapt to changing market needs.
  • Previous experience in optical, medical device, or related field is highly beneficial; field sales experience is an advantage.
  • Valid driver’s license (where applicable), and eligibility to work in the UK.
