About The Role
Area Manager – Basildon
Salary: £30,000 + Company Van
We are looking for an experienced Area Manager to join our team!
As an Area Manager, you will be field based and travel between various site locations in and around the Basildon area. You will play an important role in supporting our cleaning teams and ensuring that consistently high standards are maintained across our sites.
A company van, fuel card and mobile phone will be provided, along with the cleaning equipment required to carry out your role.
For this role, frequent travel between Basildon and the surrounding areas will be required.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Attending sites to resolve any cleaning issues and bring sites up to the required standard
- Providing hands-on cleaning support where required, including hoovering floors and cleaning and sanitising surfaces
- Ensuring that the required standard of cleaning is consistently delivered in line with agreed specifications
- Supporting cleaning teams and helping to maintain high standards across allocated sites
- Ensuring health & safety legislation and company procedures are followed at all times
- Responding to ad hoc requests from the Management Team
- Escalating any concerns or site-level intelligence to the relevant Manager
- Completing stock checks and following the agreed process for ordering supplies
- Working effectively with colleagues, Regional Managers and Area Managers
- Supporting with the training and induction of new cleaners
- Carrying out regular site visits and checks to ensure standards are maintained
- Providing additional support to sites and cleaning teams where required

Qualifications And Skills
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role within facilities management or contract cleaning
- A proactive approach with an excellent eye for detail
- Methodical, organised and able to manage your time effectively
- Self-motivated, confident and approachable, with a ‘can do’ and flexible attitude to work requirements
- Excellent client focus and a proven track record of service delivery
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, mobile role across multiple locations
- A team player who is able to support and motivate others
- Full UK driving licence
