Area Manager - Fast-Paced Retail
Location: Devon
Salary: £60,000-£70,000
The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Area Manager with a proven background in multi-site leadership within a fast-paced retail business?
We are looking for a commercially driven retail leader to take ownership of a regional portfolio, develop high-performing teams and drive operational excellence across a successful retail business.
This is an exciting opportunity for an established Area Manager who thrives in a high-volume environment, is passionate about developing people and has a strong track record of delivering commercial and operational results across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire and develop a team of Store Managers across a regional portfolio.
- Drive sales, profitability and commercial performance across your area.
- Develop and coach Store Managers to maximise individual and team potential.
- Ensure operational excellence and consistently high retail standards.
- Analyse performance data to identify opportunities and implement improvement plans.
- Maintain strong operational, compliance and people standards across all stores.
- Work collaboratively with senior leadership to deliver regional business objectives.
- Lead by example in a fast-paced, customer-focused retail environment.

About You
Multi-site leadership experience within a fast-paced retail business is essential.
We are looking for a confident and commercially focused retail leader who can demonstrate:
- Previous experience as an Area Manager, Regional Manager or equivalent multi-site retail leadership role.
- A proven track record of leading multiple stores within a fast-paced retail environment.
- Strong commercial awareness and experience delivering sales and operational results.
- Proven ability to lead, coach and develop Store Managers.
- Excellent organisational, communication and decision-making skills.
- A hands-on, adaptable and results-focused leadership style.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and thrive in a high-volume retail operation.
- A genuine passion for people development and operational excellence.

The Ideal Candidate
You will be an established multi-site retail leader who is comfortable operating at pace, managing a diverse portfolio of stores and driving accountability through your leadership teams.
You will be commercially astute, resilient and passionate about delivering results through people. Experience within a high-volume retail environment is essential.
