Area Manager

12-hour days, 3 on / 3 off (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Salary: £38,000 + Package + Day Shifts + Progression

Do you thrive in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment? We’re looking for a hands-on leader to oversee our bakery production lines, drive operational excellence, and coach a team of over 25 colleagues.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading daily operations across creams and bakery lines
  • Keeping machinery reliable and running smoothly (creamers, ZDIs, etc.)
  • Coaching and developing a high-performing team of 25+
  • Driving continuous improvement and embedding best practices
  • Partnering with Hygiene, NPD, and other teams to deliver results
  • Ensuring compliance with HACCP, IOSH, and food safety standards

What We’re Looking For

About You

  • Experienced in food or FMCG manufacturing, ideally within bakery, biscuits, or similar environments.
  • A confident, people-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong commitment to food safety and quality, ideally with HACCP Level 3, Food Safety Level 3, and IOSH qualifications (or willing to train).
  • Organized, proactive, and approachable, with great communication skills.
