Area Manager - Boarding Schools in Berkshire
Pippa’s Guardians is a family-run company caring for International Students aged between 7 and 18 years of age at some of Britain’s best Boarding Schools. We are looking to grow our team of Area Managers to continue providing exceptional levels of care and support to our students.
We are looking for an Area Manager who is ideally based in Berkshire.
Our home-based Area Managers are compassionate, organised, proactive, and responsive people who will be responsible for the well-being of international students. Previous experience in the Independent School sector would be advantageous. The role is hugely flexible, rewarding, and varied. As you might expect, the majority of the work is completed during term time, the longer school holiday time tends to be quite quiet as most students return home. You’ll liaise with students at some of the county's top independent schools as well as their parents, Registrars, Housemasters, Housemistresses, Matrons, and our network of brilliant Host Families.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
