Position Overview

Position: Area Manager – Cleaning & Facilities Management | Northern Ireland, UK

Location: UK/Northern Ireland (covering around Derry/Craigavon region, with occasional travel to other regions as required).

Hours per Week: 20hrs

CCS Cleaning offers an exciting opportunity as an Area Manager in the Cleaning Services sector in Northern Ireland/UK (Derry/Craigavon region) and the surrounding region. 🧹

This role focuses on the daily organisation and supervision of cleaning operations across multiple sites.

The position is particularly suitable for candidates with initial experience in team leadership or site supervision who are looking to take the next step in an operational management role.

The main responsibilities include planning, staff coordination, quality control, and communication with clients, with support from direct managers and internal teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Client Communication: Maintain regular contact with on-site client representatives to ensure service quality standards are consistently met.
  • Team Coordination: Lead a small team of Supervisors and Cleaning Operatives, managing schedules and overseeing daily operations.
  • On-Site Organisation: Manage timekeeping records, support onboarding activities, coordinate supply orders, and handle site administration tasks.
  • Training & Support: Provide induction training and ongoing support to both new and existing team members.
  • Operational Support: Contribute to the efficient planning and smooth execution of operations in collaboration with the Operations Management team.
  • Health & Safety & Quality Standards: Monitor compliance with health and safety requirements and quality standards through regular site visits and inspections.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
  • Full Category B driving licence and willingness to travel within the assigned region
  • Previous experience in a leadership role, such as Team Leader, Supervisor, or Site/Area Coordinator
  • Strong customer service skills, excellent communication abilities, and strong organisational skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and willingness to learn new systems
