Role Description
The Area Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Manchester Area, United Kingdom. The Area Manager oversees multiple nursery settings, ensuring high standards of childcare, education, and safety across all locations. Daily responsibilities include:

- Supporting and guiding Nursery Managers
- Monitoring regulatory compliance and safeguarding procedures
- Reviewing operational performance, occupancy levels, and budgets
- Leading quality improvement initiatives
- Managing staffing levels and recruitment needs
- Promoting consistent policies and best practices
The Area Manager builds strong relationships with families, local partners, and internal teams, while representing Tiddlywinks Nursery Group’s values and strategic objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience coaching and supporting multi-site teams.
- Proven background in early years or childcare settings, with sound knowledge of UK childcare regulations and safeguarding requirements.
- Organisational and planning abilities, including experience managing budgets, resources, and operational priorities.
- Clear, professional communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with staff, families, and external stakeholders.
- Experience driving quality improvement, implementing policies, and monitoring performance across several locations.
- Relevant childcare or early years qualification (e.g., Level 3 or above) and previous nursery or education management experience.
- Ability to work on-site across the Manchester Area, with flexibility to visit multiple nurseries as required.
- Proficiency with basic digital tools and administrative systems for reporting, scheduling, and documentation.

Job Details
- Hours: 40 Hours Per Week (Monday to Friday)
- Annual Salary: £43,000 - £45,000
