Description
POSITION STATEMENT
To supply online & off-site support to the BritelinkMCT maintenance department in a technical specialist role, drive quality, compliance, and excellence of work within your region. Supply training & assessments of technical teams, internal & external.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver training and learning initiatives on-site & assess technical competencies of technical teams.
- Updating the skills and training matrix
- Develop the technical resourcing of the company in alignment with operational requirements
- Report back on training progress, training schedule, skill matrix, forecasting
- Ticket Support – Support maintenance teams to resolve difficult tickets
- Outage Support – project manage and facilitate network outages to ensure quality, communication and speed is executed to required standard of excellence
- Advanced technical support – recommend and liaison with maintenance, Planning, Build, clients, and other stakeholders
- Network audits and assessments
- Preventative maintenance
- Environmental Maintenance
- Assist in the assessment of possible subcontracted fibre technicians.
- Always assist & enforce SHEQ compliance on site
- Assist with customer engagement
- Assist build teams and project managers if and when required.
- Manage any service hits and escalations on site
- Assist in maintaining the fibre optic tools & Equipment.
- Investigate new technical methods available and new industry standards and aligned with the strategic development of the company.
- Execute Network / Fibre Auditing and Complicated technical fibre work.
- Assist in reasonable requests from your direct manager or Exco that are align with your Job Specification & Skills.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- At least 3 years’ experience as a Fibre Maintenance technician
- Advanced Microsoft office knowledge
- At least 1-2 years’ experience with switching and routing.
- 5 years’ experience in Telecommunications Technology in a technical position
- FOA optic Fibre training
- Fibre splicing and network testing.
- GPON planning and deployment.
