Position Overview
Position: Area Supervisor / Operations Supervisor β Cleaning Services
Location: UK/Northern Ireland (covering the Derry, Letterkenny, Craigavon, Strabane and Omagh region, with occasional travel to other regions as required)
Hours per Week: 20 hours
CCS Cleaning offers an exciting opportunity for an Area Supervisor / Operations Supervisor to join our Cleaning Services team in Northern Ireland/UK, covering the Derry, Craigavon and surrounding areas. π§Ή
This role focuses on the day-to-day supervision and organisation of cleaning operations across multiple sites.
The position is particularly suitable for candidates with experience in team leadership, cleaning supervision, or site coordination who are looking to develop their career further within an Area Manager (Junior) role.
The successful candidate will support the smooth running of cleaning operations by coordinating cleaning teams, monitoring service quality, supporting staff, and maintaining good communication with clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with on-site client representatives to ensure service quality standards are consistently maintained and any operational issues are addressed promptly.
- Team Supervision & Coordination: Supervise and support a team of Supervisors and Cleaning Operatives, helping to coordinate schedules and ensuring daily cleaning operations run smoothly.
- On-Site Organisation: Monitor timekeeping records, support onboarding activities, coordinate supply orders, and assist with general site administration.
- Training & Support: Support induction training and provide ongoing guidance and assistance to new and existing team members.
- Site Visits & Quality Control: Carry out regular site visits and inspections to monitor cleaning standards, identify areas for improvement, and ensure agreed service levels are maintained.
- Operational Support: Work closely with the Operations Management team to support the effective planning and smooth running of cleaning services across the assigned area.
- Health & Safety: Support compliance with health and safety requirements, company procedures, and operational standards across all assigned sites.
- Problem Solving: Respond to day-to-day operational issues and escalate any significant concerns to the appropriate manager when required.

Qualifications & Skills
- Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
- Full Category B driving licence and willingness to travel within the assigned region
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team leadership role, such as Team Leader, Cleaning Supervisor, Site Supervisor, or Area/Operations Coordinator
- Previous experience within the cleaning, facilities management, hospitality, retail, or similar operational environment would be an advantage
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently while also working effectively as part of an operational team
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and willingness to learn new systems
