Typical Responsibilities
Technical Sales & Design
- Design and specify Fire Alarm, EVC and Evacuation Systems in accordance with BS 5839, BS 8629 and other relevant industry standards.
- Carry out site surveys, condition reports and system assessments.
- Prepare detailed technical and commercial quotations.
- Produce technical submissions, tender responses and project-specific proposal documentation.
- Prepare supporting schematics, drawings and associated bid documentation.
- Review project specifications and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical advice and support to clients, consultants, contractors and end users.
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, consultants, contractors and end users.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned region.
- Manage sales enquiries from initial contact through to contract award.
- Achieve agreed sales and margin targets.
- Conduct customer presentations and product demonstrations.
- Support regional and national sales initiatives to maximise business growth.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide regular forecasting updates.
Commercial Responsibilities
- Develop commercially competitive and technically compliant proposals.
- Understand contractual requirements and associated commercial risks.
- Support negotiations with customers and stakeholders as required.
- Work collaboratively with design, operations and service teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Client Relationship Management
- Build long-term customer relationships through proactive engagement and professional service.
- Attend client meetings and industry events throughout the UK when required.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for repeat business.

Candidates shall be able to demonstrate the necessary qualifications, experience, skills, and traits to meet the requirements set below. Qualifications
- Essential: To be identified by Electrical, Electronic Engineering or relevant technical qualification
- Desirable: Understanding of BS 5839, BS 5266, BS 8629 and LPS 1014
Experience
- Essential:
- Experience within the Fire Alarm, Life Safety or Security Systems industry
- Interview / Application: Experience in technical sales and business development
- Construction industry experience
- Knowledge of Fire Alarm and Life Safety Systems
- Desirable:
- Interview / Application: Experience preparing technical submissions and tender responses
- Understanding of BS 5839, BS 5266, BS 8629 and LPS 1014
