Sales Engineer
The Role
Our client, a world-leading cable management and tooling manufacturer with a manufacturing site in the UK, is looking for a new Sales Engineer to cover the Yorkshire region.
Responsibilities:
- Selling a range of cable glands, cable management solutions, and tooling to end users such as panel builders, M&E Contractors, OEMs, and Cable Harness businesses.
- Pulling the sell back through the electrical wholesale network, including national and independent distributors like Edmundson & Rexel.
- Collaborating with marketing, customer service, inside sales, and product managers within the UK manufacturing site, as well as support from other Sales Engineers.

This client is a global leader within the electrical cable connectors market. They have a strong team in the UK & Ireland with longevity and expertise. They are constantly growing and this development of the UK & Irish markets is testament to that. They have a strong infrastructure of support, an ethos built on teamwork, and a heritage of UK manufacture. As such, their lead times are much shorter than those who manufacture outside of Europe.
Requirements
We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Have a B2B field sales track record in the electrical sector.
- Understanding of the sales process with distribution partners and end users.
- Ideally have a background selling to OEMs, Panel Builders, and Switchgear manufacturers.
- Have an eagerness and willingness to learn & develop.
- Professional in approach.
- Lives on patch.
- Full & Clean Driving licence.

Salary
Up to £45,000 basic salary DOE + £12k bonus (stretch OTE of £18k) + Company Car + 24 days holiday + healthcare + life assurance (x3 salary) + pension scheme (5% matched).
Candidate Location
Sheffield, Leeds, Bradford, Hull, York
