This is an exciting opportunity for an Area Sales Executive to play a key role in expanding our market presence across our sandstone and porcelain paving.
Job Purpose
We're looking for a true sales hunter, someone who enjoys identifying opportunities, generating demand, and converting prospects into loyal customers.
Working with builder merchants throughout the region, you'll be responsible for promoting our product range, developing new business opportunities, and strengthening relationships with existing customers.
Today, the role is approximately 70% new business development and 30% account management. As you successfully grow your customer base and develop long-term partnerships, that balance will naturally evolve.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
This is an important role within GRS, with primary responsibility to:
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities across the Midlands / North of England.
- Building strong relationships with builder merchants and key decision makers.
- Promoting and developing sales of our sandstone & porcelain paving
- Managing and growing a portfolio of existing customer accounts.
- Creating and executing territory development plans.
- Working closely with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Representing GRS at customer meetings, trade events, and product showcases.
- Monitoring market activity and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Responsibility for compliance and discharging legal duties with regards to HR and Health & Safety to promote a safe, equitable, and legally compliant workplace.

What We're Looking For
- A motivated and ambitious sales professional with a proven track record in business development.
- Someone who enjoys prospecting, generating leads, and winning new customers.
- Strong relationship building and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, resilient, and commercially focused.
- Experience within building materials, landscaping products, construction supplies, or merchant sales would be advantageous.
- A proactive individual who wants to be part of a growing business and make a genuine impact.
- This is a field-based territory sales role covering the Midlands / North region. To service the territory effectively, candidates must live within the patch - ideally centrally located.
