We are the embedded hiring partner to an established and growing supplier within the automotive and technical equipment sector, supporting them in the appointment of an Area Sales Executive to join their expanding sales team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, driven sales professional who thrives on winning new business, building long-term customer relationships, and taking ownership of their own territory.

If you're someone who enjoys getting on the phone, opening doors, visiting customers, following up opportunities, negotiating deals, and seeing your hard work directly reflected in your earnings, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

The business has built an excellent reputation within its market through quality products, exceptional customer service, and long-standing customer relationships. As they continue to grow, they're looking for someone equally ambitious to grow with them.

The Role

You'll be responsible for developing and growing a designated regional territory, combining proactive business development with relationship management to drive sustainable revenue growth.

This is a field-based role offering genuine autonomy, allowing you to manage your own diary, build your customer base, and become the trusted face of the business within your region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow your assigned sales territory through proactive business development.
  • Generate new business through outbound calls, prospecting, networking, referrals, and relationship building.
  • Convert inbound enquiries into successful sales opportunities.
  • Visit customers across your territory, understanding their requirements and providing tailored solutions.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with independent businesses, multi-site operators, and commercial clients.
  • Follow up quotations, leads, and opportunities to maximise conversions.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide regular forecasting updates.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service before, during, and after every sale.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue through account growth and repeat business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
