🚀 We're Hiring: Area Sales Manager (South UK) | Pfleiderer UK Ltd

Are you a driven sales professional with experience in building products, interiors, furniture manufacturing, or wood-based panel solutions? Pfleiderer UK Ltd is looking for an ambitious Area Sales Manager to lead growth across Southern England and Wales, developing strong customer relationships and driving market share for one of Europe's leading manufacturers of decorative and engineered wood panel products.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, you'll be responsible for growing sales, managing key accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer experiences across a diverse customer base.

This is a home-based role with extensive travel throughout the South UK region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and exceed sales, margin, and growth targets
  • Develop relationships with distributors, fabricators, merchants, manufacturers, specifiers, and end users
  • Identify and win new business opportunities across all sectors
  • Conduct customer visits, presentations, and product demonstrations
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity
  • Collaborate with customer service, marketing, logistics, and technical teams
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and CRM records
  • Represent Pfleiderer at exhibitions, industry events, and customer meetings

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

  • Proven success in field sales
  • Building products, timber, panel products, furniture manufacturing, interiors, or related sectors
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills
  • Key account and distribution management experience
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Self-motivated, organised, and target-driven
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • Knowledge of decorative surfaces, laminates, MDF, particleboard, or wood panel products
  • Specification selling experience
  • Understanding of furniture, interior fit-out, or construction markets
