Area Sales Manager – North East
Medical Devices | Surgical Capital Equipment
📍 Territory: NE / Yorkshire
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly respected medical technology business, working with an innovative portfolio of capital equipment and surgical solutions used across operating theatres throughout the NHS and private sector.
The Opportunity
As Area Sales Manager, you'll take ownership of the NE territory, developing existing customer relationships while identifying new business opportunities across your region.
You'll work closely with consultant surgeons, theatre teams, procurement departments and hospital stakeholders, delivering product demonstrations, supporting installations and helping customers maximize the value.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth across the NE territory.
- Develop and manage relationships with consultant surgeons, theatre teams and procurement.
- Identify and convert new business opportunities.
- Deliver clinical product demonstrations and customer training.
- Support product evaluations, installations and educational events.
- Work collaboratively with internal service, marketing and commercial teams.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts and pipeline management.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience selling capital equipment into operating theatres.
- A proven track record of delivering commercial growth.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with NHS and private healthcare customers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with a genuine passion for winning new business.
