Area Sales Manager – On-Trade Wine (Manchester & Liverpool)

Location: Field-Based (covering Manchester, Liverpool & surrounding region)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Reporting To: Regional Sales Manager (North East)

Are you an ambitious sales professional with a proven track record of hunting down new on-trade business and growing key accounts across the hospitality sector?

Majestic Commercial is expanding, and we are looking for a high-performing Area Sales Manager to lead our commercial growth across Manchester and Liverpool. If you know the local venue landscape inside out, speak the language of general managers and sommeliers, and thrive on winning new accounts, this is your next step.

The Role

As Area Sales Manager, you will be the commercial engine driving Majestic Commercial’s growth across the regional on-trade sector (bars, restaurants, pubs, and hotels). You will split your time between landing high-value new business and partnering with existing clients to maximize account profitability and rate of sale.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive New Business: Prospect, pitch, and win new on-trade accounts across Manchester and Liverpool to consistently beat regional sales targets.
  • Grow Existing Accounts: Build tailored account plans for existing venues, introducing new listings, running staff training, and increasing profitability.
  • Be the Local Expert: Use your deep knowledge of the local hospitality scene to identify emerging trends, venue openings, and commercial opportunities.
  • Commercial Management: Manage client P&Ls, margin negotiations, and commercial terms to ensure sustainable, profitable growth.
  • Deliver Standout Service: Act as a trusted wine partner to venue owners and beverage directors, delivering an exceptional service experience backed by Majestic’s supply network.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
