About This Role
Are you an experienced Area Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, or Territory Sales Manager looking for your next challenge? As an Area Sales Manager with Dawsongroup EMC, you'll take ownership of a regional territory, developing new business opportunities while strengthening existing customer relationships across the municipal, industrial, waste, recycling, utilities, and infrastructure sectors.
- Drive profitable growth by securing both long and short-term rental opportunities across your region.
- Develop lasting relationships with customers in both the public and private sectors, including local authorities, contractors, and commercial organizations.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline through networking, prospecting, tenders, market intelligence, and customer visits.
- Work closely with Area Sales Executives, Branch teams, and operational colleagues to maximize fleet utilization and deliver an outstanding customer experience.
- Achieve agreed sales targets, utilization goals, and KPIs while identifying opportunities to grow revenue through additional products and services.
About You
You're a commercially minded sales professional who enjoys building relationships, opening doors, and creating opportunities. You thrive when managing your own territory and are motivated by delivering results while providing excellent customer service.

- Previous field sales, business development, territory management, or strategic account management experience is essential.
- Confident in communicating with decision-makers and developing long-term customer relationships.
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing multiple opportunities at different stages of the sales cycle.
- A full UK driving license is required for this field-based position.
- Experience within asset rental, municipal, waste, utilities, industrial, or fleet sectors would be welcomed, but if your sales skills are transferable, we'd still love to hear from you. No candidate meets every requirement; we're looking for the right person, not just the perfect CV.
