Area Sales Manager (North UK)

Our client is an international manufacturer of construction chemicals, supplying high-performance solutions into professional and industrial markets. With a strong focus on product quality, technical support and innovation, the business continues to invest in its product portfolio and distribution capability to support sustained growth across the UK and wider European markets.
About the Role
As Area Sales Manager, you will take ownership of sales performance across a Northern UK territory, driving growth through both existing and newly acquired customers. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you will be responsible for developing and executing a regional sales strategy that increases market penetration, strengthens distribution partnerships and delivers sustainable revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities while building long-term relationships with merchant, distribution and end-user customers.
- Work closely with distribution partners to ensure the effective promotion and positioning of the company's product portfolio.
- Support customers through regular visits, product demonstrations, and commercial engagement.
- Analyse market opportunities, monitor competitor activity, and develop targeted growth plans to maximise sales across the territory.

Requirements
- Proven track record in field-based B2B sales within the building products, construction materials, or associated sectors.
- Experience working with buying groups and national, regional, and independent merchants would be highly advantageous.
- Commercially driven, highly organised, and capable of managing a large geographical territory effectively.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to identify opportunities, influence decision-makers, and convert prospects into long-term customers.
