🎯 Area Sales Manager – Heating, Plumbing & Building Services
📍 Home-based | Field-based territory role
💷 £50,000 – £60,000 + Bonus + Car/Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Area Sales Manager to join an established business operating within the heating, plumbing and building services sector.
The company provides technical solutions that support efficient, reliable and sustainable heating and cooling systems and is looking for a commercially driven sales professional to develop its presence across the territory.
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for growing existing customer accounts, developing new business and building strong relationships across the market.
This is a permanent, full-time, home-based position with regular travel throughout the territory.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing and developing relationships with existing and prospective customers
- Identifying new commercial opportunities and converting them into sustainable business
- Developing territory and account plans to maximise sales
- Conducting customer visits, presentations, demonstrations, training and business reviews
- Negotiating pricing and commercial agreements
- Developing new accounts and maintaining a strong sales pipeline
- Keeping CRM records, forecasts and account activity up to date
- Working closely with internal sales, technical, marketing and customer service teams
- Representing the business at exhibitions, trade events and customer meetings

Who we’re looking for:
We’re keen to hear from candidates with approximately 2+ years' relevant sales experience and a background in external field sales within areas such as:
- Heating & plumbing
- HVAC
- Water treatment
- M&E
- Building services
- Other closely related technical sectors
You should have experience selling into relevant customer channels and ideally established relationships with merchants, contractors, installers, heating engineers, developers, housing associations, OEMs and/or specification-led customers.
You do not necessarily need to come directly from the same product sector. Candidates from strong adjacent technical markets will be considered where they have the right customer relationships, industry knowledge and field-sales credibility.

Previous job titles could include Area Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Territory Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Technical Sales Manager, Technical Sales Engineer, Sales Engineer, Account Manager or Territory Manager.
You’ll also need a full UK driving licence and the existing right to work in the UK.
Occasional travel to the Daresbury HQ
