C&C Group plc

C&C Group plc is a premium drinks company which owns, manufactures, markets and distributes a unique portfolio of beer and cider brands in its home markets and across the globe. You probably know us best from brands like Bulmers, Magners and Tennent’s.

About the Role

We are looking for a driven and commercially astute Area Sales Manager to join our Commercial team. This is an exciting field-based opportunity to manage and grow a portfolio of on-trade customers, driving profitable sales growth across an established territory.

As the face of the business, you will develop strong customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and use your industry knowledge to deliver outstanding commercial results. You'll work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to maximise sales performance, increase brand distribution, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

This role is ideal for a proactive sales professional who thrives on building relationships, spotting opportunities, and achieving ambitious targets in a fast-paced environment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Drive sales growth and profitability across a defined portfolio of on-trade customers, delivering against volume, revenue, margin, and distribution targets.
  • Build and develop strong customer relationships, identifying opportunities to increase product range, grow share of wallet, and deliver long-term value.
  • Generate new business through proactive prospecting, networking, and market insight, creating a healthy pipeline of opportunities.
  • Deliver best-in-class sales execution through effective territory planning, promotional activity, brand activations, and customer engagement.
  • Use commercial insights, CRM data, and market trends to identify opportunities, manage performance, and support informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and supplier partners to maximise customer outcomes, enhance brand visibility, and achieve shared business objectives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
