About the Company
PermaRock Products Ltd- (Part of the Sustainable Investments Ltd Group) is a trusted UK manufacturer and supplier of high-performance External Wall Insulation (EWI) and render systems. With a strong reputation built on technical excellence, we support major new build, retrofit, and decarbonisation projects across the country. Our solutions meet and exceed modern Building Regulations, with expert technical support provided at every stage. We are growing and we’re looking for a motivated, knowledgeable Area Sales Manager to join our dynamic team.
About the Role
As Area Sales Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving growth in the North East & East of England region. Your mission: to build strong relationships with contractors, specifiers, housing associations, Local Authorities, and installers, introducing and promoting our market-leading EWI systems by gaining specified status within tender documents and/or during the post tender detailed design process. With a blend of business development, account management, and technical support, you will play a key role in both acquiring new projects and ensuring long-term customer success.

Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and secure new business opportunities in the EWI and façade markets.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with contractors, architects, specifiers, and installers.
- Gain specified status for PermaRock systems wherever possible.
- Maximise sales potential across key sectors including retrofit, refurbishment, re-cladding and new build.
Account Management
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts.
- Onboard and support quality-focused installer companies.
- Deliver outstanding pre- and post-sales support.
Market Intelligence
- Stay up to date with trends, legislation, and competitor activity.
- Understand and communicate the impact of Building Regulations, PAS2030/2035, and cladding legislation.
Project & Specification Support
- Oversee projects from initial specification through to completion.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure technical and compliance needs are met.
- Align specifications with the latest legislative requirements.

Reporting & CRM
- Accurately manage pipeline, forecasts, and activities in CRM.
- Provide regular reports and market feedback to the management team.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- At least 3 years specification sales experience in the construction industry-ideally facades or EWI.
- Strong technical knowledge of EWI, renders, insulation, or façade systems.
- Solid understanding of Building Regulations, PAS2030/2035, and cladding remediation standards.
- Full UK Driving License.
- Specification sales experience in the construction industry.
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to manage your own territory and deliver results.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in managing customer accounts.
- Ability to deliver pre- and post-sales support.
- Knowledge of market trends and competitor activity.
Salary package
Competitive + Commission + Benefits, Company Car or Car Allowance.
