About the Role
At Saint-Gobain Interior Solutions, we are looking for an Area Sales Manager to join our commercial sales team, working with a distribution and contractor customer base across London West, including Hertfordshire, South Buckinghamshire, Watford, Hemel Hempstead, and West and Central London, selling our British Gypsum and Isover products.
You will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with national and independent distribution partners and contractors within an agreed sales region, implementing a profitable and targeted sales plan to improve market share, product mix, and commercial performance.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working in a sales role, ideally within construction, building materials, or distribution
- Strong commercial acumen, including negotiation and margin management
- A proactive approach, able to spot opportunities and fact-find through effective questioning
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels within distribution and contractor organisations
- Confident tracking live projects and pipeline opportunities to identify where our products can be specified and supplied
- Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple priorities across a regional customer base

What You Will Be Doing
- Proactively manage, service, and grow opportunities across the regional distribution and contractor customer base
- Track live construction projects within the region, identifying opportunities to influence specification and secure supply
- Support and negotiate commercial agreements in line with regional and national strategies
- Regularly visit distribution partners and contractors to build, maintain, and grow long-term partnerships
- Act as the key point of contact between distribution clients, contractors, internal sales teams, and wider stakeholders
- Drive market share, product mix, and visibility of British Gypsum and Isover within your region
