Area Sales Manager
Gekko has an exciting opportunity for an Area Sales Manager to join us on behalf of one of our exciting global clients. We’re looking for a sales-driven, highly motivated individual to join our team and play a key role in supporting our client across the region.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving sales, strengthening retailer relationships and delivering engaging training that inspires retail teams to captivate and connect with customers.
If you’re passionate about building brand advocacy, confident training retail advisors, experienced in managing in-store specialists, and able to bring high-end tech products to life through engaging customer demonstrations, we’d love to hear from you.
Your Package:
- £32,000 per annum, plus up to 10% performance bonus
- Company car or car allowance
- Full time, contract until the end of March 2027 (Wednesday – Sunday)
- 22 days holiday in addition to bank holidays, plus buy and sell holiday options

- Building and maintaining strong relationships with retailers at all levels, from senior management and regional teams through to sales advisors, with a focus on driving sales, brand loyalty and product knowledge
- Working closely with retailers to understand their needs and introduce initiatives that increase sales and strengthen brand impact
- Creating, implementing and continually developing plans to enhance the brand experience and improve the customer journey
- Designing and delivering engaging training sessions and workshops for both groups and individuals
- Managing and leading a small team of promoters within your region to support the achievement of agreed sales targets
Sound like you?
We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Leadership or management experience within retail, specifically across technology and the retail space
- A strong understanding of the sales journey, with the ability to retain and use product knowledge to engage both individuals and diverse groups of retailers
- An analytical approach, with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Experience building and influencing senior-level relationships to develop and deliver strategic go-to-market initiatives that drive sales results
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience leading a team or working in a supervisory role
- A full UK driving licence

The role:
This position is field based, covering the South West region of the UK, with nationwide travel where required. Ideal candidates would be based in the Bath or Bristol area. The contract currently runs until the end of March 2027.
