Area Sales Manager

Are you a commercially driven sales professional with experience in electrification, new technologies, fleet, trucks, vans, transportation, or the wider commercial vehicle sector, with a genuine passion for technology and the future of transport?

We are working with a leading organisation within the transport and temperature-controlled solutions sector, who are looking for an Area Sales Manager to drive business growth across the Midlands.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a role with plenty of variety, building strong customer relationships, developing new business, and being at the forefront of new technology. You will play a key role in selling the new EV fleet, helping customers and channel partners understand the benefits of new electrification solutions and identifying opportunities to grow the business.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Take ownership of your region, developing sales opportunities and growing existing business
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with customers and channel partners
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop existing accounts
  • Manage the sales process from initial opportunity through to successful conversion
  • Sell the new EV fleet, supporting customers with the transition towards new technology
  • Work with channel partners to understand their requirements and identify opportunities to increase sales
  • Create and deliver regional sales plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets
  • Work closely with internal teams to develop effective sales and marketing activity
  • Provide product and sales training to channel partners
  • Monitor market developments, competitor activity, and emerging technologies
  • Support customers and partners with queries and resolve issues effectively
  • Identify opportunities to increase market share and develop the territory

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
