Area Sales Manager - Electrical Products

Up to £50,000 Basic + £15-20k OTE | South East & London

The Role

  • Identify, track and follow projects, selling a leading range of electrical products
  • Route to Market: Regional Developers, Social Housing & Housing Associations, M&E Contractors
  • Develop existing accounts with new product lines, while opening new accounts and generating new business
  • Build and maintain a structured pipeline of live and upcoming projects across your territory
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers at developer, contractor and housing association level
  • Represent the business as a trusted point of contact throughout the project lifecycle, from early engagement through to order

Our client is an established manufacturer of electrical products with a strong reputation across the market. Privately owned, growing steadily for decades, and continuing to invest in new, innovative product categories. This is a business built on people development, offering secure, long term careers with clearly defined progression, strong support and full training. They are looking for a career minded candidate to help drive market share with innovative, sustainably produced products, backed by a genuine reputation for after sales care.

The Candidate

  • 2 to 3 years' sales experience within the electrical or construction industry
  • Commercially savvy, with the ability to track projects, manage accounts and develop new business
  • Could have worked for a manufacturer, distributor or electrical wholesaler
  • Strong sales and sales process skills
  • Ability to manage short and long sales cycles
  • Full training and support provided

The Package

  • Up to £50,000 basic dependent on experience
  • £15,000 - £20,000 OTE
  • Hybrid company car
  • 6% company pension contribution
  • 25 days holiday plus stats
