Area Sales Manager - Scotland
Some salespeople bring a contact book. Others bring the energy that opens doors, wins trust, and turns a first conversation into a lasting customer.
We’re looking for an outstanding sales professional with drive, resilience, and a personality people remember to take responsibility for Scotland.
You’ll develop existing retail accounts and win new business — getting out in front of customers, understanding what matters to them, and giving them good reasons to buy.
What will make you stand out?
- Energy: you make things happen and enjoy being out with customers.
- Drive: you take ownership of your territory and pursue opportunities.
- Resilience: a “no” doesn’t knock you off course.
- Personality: you build rapport naturally, listen well, and follow through.
Experience selling to retailers would be ideal, particularly if you’ve combined growing existing accounts with opening new ones.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Already sold to independent garden centres in Scotland? That’s the cherry on the cake. But it’s absolutely not essential. You could be selling a completely different product today and still be exactly the person we’re looking for.
What matters most is how you approach sales: curiosity, determination, commercial awareness, and the ability to build relationships that lead to results.
