Area Sales Manager - Sporting Goods

Our client is a globally established name within the sporting goods industry, recognised for decades of innovation, reliability and performance. With a strong international footprint and a heritage built on supporting active lifestyles, they design and distribute premium products that cater to everyone from everyday participants to elite athletes. Their unwavering focus on quality, innovation and athlete-led design has positioned them as a trusted partner to retailers and sports professionals worldwide.

As part of continued growth, they are seeking an Area Sales Manager to take ownership of customers in London, Essex and Hertfordshire. The role will involve managing approximately 140 accounts, which range from independent sports retailers to leisure centres.

This is a hybrid role with a mixture of home-working and face-to-face meetings with B2B customers across the territory.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage designated territory through face-to-face visits, completing regular call reports thereafter
  • Maintain strong relationship with independent retailers and leisure centres
  • Effectively upsell & cross-sell full product range across accounts
  • Present new product ranges & secure orders with clients
  • Provide visual merchandising support to account base, as well as merchandising training
  • Work towards specific monthly, quarterly & annual targets and budgets
  • Identify new business opportunities across the territory, winning on new clients

The Successful Candidate

  • 12+ months B2B field sales experience
  • Candidates from a variety of B2B product sales backgrounds would be considered
  • A connection to sport / swimming is a plus
  • Based on patch - WD, HA, UB, NW, W, W, E, IG, EN, SE postcodes
  • Must have a full UK Driving licence

Area Sales Manager Package

  • Basic salary: up to £37,000
  • +15% bonus
