THE COMPANY

An exciting sales role has arisen within a division of this UK medical devices business. It would suit either an up and comer sales candidate with a technical bias or a more experienced project sales led candidate who wants to work within the medical sector. The role will involve identifying and winning new NHS tenders to be a partner of choice for lighting refits and installations of theatre suites. Part of the role will involve working with architects, project engineers and contractors on the installations side as well as working with clinical directors and Procurement in hospitals. There is a good base of existing projects in pipeline from the recent incumbent, but a huge opportunity to spread their presence across other clinical departments and to identify and win new tenders in London and Southern home counties. This is a varied and technical field sales role so will involve daily travel and the odd overnight stay. Initial company induction and product training will be based in Leeds Head office.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
